Abstract or Introduction

The purpose of this project is to analyze the performance parameters of a Turbo-jet engine like thrust, compressor efficiency, turbine efficiency, nozzle efficiency and speed when propelled by a mixture of alternative fuels. For this purpose, a working model of a turbo-jet engine is built using an automotive turbocharger which serves as an integrated turbine and compressor assembly. Other components like the combustion chamber, nozzle and ignition system are fabricated, and the final model is used to analyze the different aspects mentioned above, and results are formulated.
