An informational document about a project of the improvements in the procedures of the welding process. This is a project of how to get the control of the updates in the documents that are necessary on the welding process and are important for the certifications of the company.
Tenneco’s history as a stand-alone entity began in 1999, when the current company emerged from a conglomerate formerly consisting of six businesses: shipbuilding, packaging, farm and construction equipment, gas transmission, automotive and chemicals. Through various public offerings, sales, spin-offs and mergers beginning in the 1980s, the company divested all of its businesses, leaving Tenneco Automotive as the remaining part of the original company.
The automotive entities that remained, including a strong original equipment business and legendary aftermarket brands like Monroe and Walker, each with historic roots reaching back more than 100 years, display a rich history that helps define Tenneco today.

INTRODUCTION
This is an informational document about a project of the improvements in the procedures of the welding process. This is a project of how get ore the control of the updates in the documents that are necessary on the welding process and are important for the certifications of the company.

DEVELOPMENT
The project arises from the need to have control of document and procedure updates in the company. By creating a facility for documents and data, the control will improve the correct follow-up of the documentation process. In this project, the activities to be developed will be carried out with the PDCA methodology that should be updated every week, to observe the improvements that can be made in the activities of this project. The activities that will be develop are observation and training of documents and the process, collect the information about the process to fill the documents and procedures, analyze the data and make improvements, follow up the behavior of the above-mentioned, and finally have a feedback of the improvements.
OBJECT OF STUDY
The main objective for this project is to make a better control and efficiency in the process of documentation for product procedures and have the information on real time.
- Have a control of the information of each cell in the production line.
- Have a control of the documentation and procedures of each number part in the production line.
- Have a control of the information online about the documentation and procedures of each number part.
METHODOLOGY
The methodology of this research was as follows by:
i. Observation and training process of documents
ii. Analyzation of the data and improvements in the process
iii. Verification of data in formats and application of improvements
iv. Project feedback
PHASES OF DEVELOPMENT
i. Observation and training process of documents
This activity is performed in order to know and become familiar with the documents, procedures and work instructions with which the operators (welders) work, of each of the cells that are in the line, these procedures are made by the engineering area, and updated by the same, once the procedures are either issued or updated, the QMS department reviews that everything is in order to continue with the issuance of the document/procedure.
This is a training activity of how to understand and interpret the information of the document, for example a WPS is a document where it show us the parameters and tolerance that are validated by the engineers, it is also a format (is a document with a standard information), and a PQR is the registration of how the cell behave in the welding process this two documents have to work together in order to have the actual information of the process.
WITH THE METHODOLOGY OF GANTT CHART HELPED TO TACK THE PROJECT.

ii. Analyzation of the data and improvements in the process
In order to check if the information in the procedures is correct. For this purpose, the person who will be in charge of the data in the procedures will be trained, and a training of the process will be done in order to know the operation to know what information the document should contain.
With the objective of comparing if, the information shown in the system is updated with the most recent process that is in the production line, thus ensuring that the operators follow the current and standardized process of the activity. In Tenneco, we use drive to upload the first version and then put it on the system.
To know how is the correct procedure of the process, and know the detail of the work, it also consist of going to line and ask questions about how the people is doing their work, and compare the information an collect the observations that can make an improvement on the procedure.

CONCLUSIÓN.
The project was based on generating an interface in which the sawing process is controlled by a single person, As a conclusion in this project it was a very easy project this is because in the process i had the help of my two assessors who give me some advices of the project. This project started because the information that was presented on one of the audits wasn’t the updated one, so they needed to change some small things on the documents, there where for example the review on the formants or some parameters, or there even being already canceled because that number of part didn’t work or because they didn’t do it anymore. So before correct the procedure/document I needed to know what was the reason and then make sure that the changes where ok and where the correct ones. This project help me to realize that I can understand the importance of having a correct and updated document/procedure, and also help me to notice that if I have a main goals I can reach them and make it in a good timing.
Whit this project I also could notice that sometimes I’m a very shy person who needs to improve more in that aspects in order to improve myself.
Recommendation
The recommendation in this project is to have in mind that in the organization it is of utmost importance to have updated information so that everything works in the best way, I also recommend that it is very important to pay attention to what is done in the organization.
