Coronavirus is a global concern; it affects not only physical health, but also mental health. It is in this regard that the researchers aimed to determine the causes of anxiety among teachers on the progressive expansion of face-to-face classes in Eugenio Cabezas National High School.
This study utilized a quantitative research design. A total enumeration of the respondents was utilized in the study. The researchers sent out an electronic survey via google forms to teachers. This study was conducted in August of 2022 using an adopted survey questionnaire.

Infection-related Anxiety
Results in Table 4 shows the causes of anxiety among teachers on progressive expansion of face-to-face classes owing to the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of anxiety-related. It reveals that teachers felt a little anxious because they feel there are no effective treatments or vaccines, it is not easy to take a polymerase chain reaction test, they may be criticized and discriminated when infected, and it is difficult to take preventive measures against infection. On the other hand, the data revealed that teachers felt a moderately anxious because the virus is invisible, when they hear about the negative situation involving measures and medical care lagging behind in other countries, about getting infected when they want to go to hospital because of an illness, they don’t know how long it will last, when infected the information and behavior of the infected person is revealed, they cannot ensure the safety of teachers themselves or of their families, the infection prevention measures between classrooms vary, their students may get infected. In overall the teachers felt moderately anxious in terms of infection.
