Amazon is the largest e-commerce firm globally. In the last few decades, the company has invested significant resources in horizontal and vertical integration to diversify its revenue sources (Meyer, 2017). However, the company has struggled with various organizational issues that have resulted in reduced productivity and performance. Some of these issues include lack of concern for the employee work-life balance, poor remuneration, insensitivity to personal workers’ issues and internal conflicts (Zhu, 2021). As such, Amazon suffers relatively high employee turnover. This essay explores various Amazon HR challenges and provides appropriate suggestions to address them.
