The main objective of this research study is to analyze the experiences of the rebel returnees under reintegration projects of the Municipality of Tubungan specifically Project Tubong-Tubong, and Project ROKIT. The participants of the study were five (5) rebel returnees located of Municipality of Tubungan and enrolled in Project Tubong-Tubong, and Project ROKIT as beneficiaries. This study recommends that the government needs to improve and develop more sustainable projects for rebel returnees. As well as projects centered on education, and skill development that can match the job opportunities that were in demand right now as well as the right skill sets for rebel returnees. In addition, the government should look into building educational institutions for tertiary level or vocational schools in far-flung areas like Municipality of Tubungan with partnerships of the provincial and local government along with the academe in the provincial locality. The government should also look into additional funding for cash assistance and livelihood development of the rebel returnees to avoid financial constraints when the rebel returnees reintegrate to mainstream society.
Armed conflict and insurgency have been a long-standing problem in the Philippines, especially in the concerns of peace and safety of the country. Rebel organizations and the Philippine army are in constant friction with each other. However, there are some members that left and chose to return to a mainstream society where the government offers a lot of welfare programs for them in the form of an integration program. It is imperative that the government will know the experiences of the rebel returnees under the reintegration programs and projects they implement to improve and see what more they can do for the rebel returnees.

Zusammenfassung der Kapitel (Chapter Summaries)
Chapter One – INTRODUCTION: This introductory chapter lays the groundwork for the study. It establishes the background of the research, outlining the context of rebel returnees and their reintegration. The chapter details the epistemological perspective guiding the inquiry, introduces relevant micro-theories, and clearly defines the research problem, purpose, and significance. It also addresses the researcher's subjectivity, limitations of the study, and key terms used throughout the research. The significance section likely highlights the importance of understanding this population's experiences for informing future policy and interventions.
Chapter Two - REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE: This chapter provides a comprehensive review of existing literature relevant to the study. It examines the New People's Army, the counterinsurgency efforts in Tubungan (including the Tubong-Tubong Project and Project ROKIT), and the experiences of rebel returnees within local and international reintegration programs. Crucially, the chapter explores the challenges these returnees face in their reintegration process, setting the stage for the primary research findings. The summary section likely synthesizes the key findings and gaps in the existing literature, justifying the need for the current study.
Chapter Three - RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY: This chapter meticulously outlines the research design and methodology employed in the study. It details the research design itself, specifying the chosen methodology (likely qualitative, given the "narrative inquiry" aspect). It defines the inclusion and exclusion criteria for participants, describes the research setting, and extensively outlines the data collection procedures (likely involving interviews), emphasizing the steps taken before, during, and after each interview. The chapter also addresses ethical considerations and the methods used for data analysis, as well as strategies for ensuring validity and reliability of the research findings.
Chapter Four – RESEARCH FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION: This chapter presents the core findings of the study. It begins by providing an overview of the participants, followed by a detailed discussion of the emergent themes. The chapter likely explores themes relating to reintegration support, challenges encountered, and lessons learned for peacebuilding. The subthemes under each major theme likely provide in-depth analyses of specific aspects of the returnees' experiences, supported by illustrative examples and data from the interviews.
