The objective of this research is to ascertain and recognize the factors that make up the coordination mechanism of virtual development teams and provide a structural and interpretive model of the relationships between these factors and evaluate the influence of these factors on themselves and the performance of virtual development teams of agile software development projects was done.
Presently, the deployment of virtual development teams is regarded as an indispensable component of software production and its associated sectors, with its usage escalating daily. World-changing occurrences and the prevalence of multiple pandemics, such as Covid-19, have further accelerated the necessity and adoption rate of virtual development teams. Therefore, a substantial portion of the strategic employment policies in corporations and organizations are based on the framework of employing virtual development teams and remote workforce.
Given the advancements in the usage of virtual development teams, especially within the software development and production sector, addressing the issues and challenges associated with their deployment has evolved into a critical and engaging matter for businesses and industries. Identifying and managing key internal and external elements influencing the performance of these teams and formulating and executing a consistent coordination system can engender the essential alignment amongst various human and organizational factors. In this study, these considerations are presented as an integrated coordination system, offering businesses and industries assistance in enhancing the performance of their virtual development teams.
