Chapter two traces the history of Russian-English language contact, highlighting key periods and their influence on the development of Russian English. The chapter also discusses the current state of English in Russia, including its role in education and daily life. Chapter three focuses on the use of articles in Standard English, laying the groundwork for comparing and contrasting the use of articles in Russian English.
