1. Water Supply:
The source of existing water supply system is ground water withdrawn from pumping station and distributed all over the municipal area. Any major break down many causes’ complete disruption in water supply here. There are two overhead reservoirs and their structure conditions are very poor. AC pipes constitute major portion of the water supply pipe network. All these AC pipe should be replaced because these are not allowable in the water supply and recurring cost of repair and maintenance. It can be concluded that the water supply system in Domkal municipal area should be planned fresh to meet the existing lacunae, future demand and the objective set by the municipality.
Presently the domestic water supply connection through municipal pipelines of fulfilling 70% demand of water by the municipal inhabitants ward wise quantity of water supply per capita per day in 135 liters. In the Domkal municipality area, ward numbers 10,11,12,13 and 14 are having most of the water supply system connected with the main municipal reservoirs and ward number 4,6,8,9 and 17 have medium number of houses getting connected with municipality pipe line. But ward number 1,2,3,15,16,18 is having low number of households getting water supply facility.
