This essay deliberately attempts, contrary to common practice, to critically examine some of the positive effects of President Donald Trump on democracy in America. Various aspects of democracy are discussed and the influence of the former president is highlighted. Despite this, various anti-democratic aspects of Mr. Trump are also discussed, but the focus is deliberately on the arguments that speak for a positive influence on democracy. Despite this, there should be no one-sided whitewashing.
