Disability is a term that is used to describe physical, visual, hearing, and cognitive impairment that significantly impacts the people's capability to perform daily tasks such as reading, walking, talking/speaking, reading, seeing, learning, and thinking. People with disabilities face unique challenges in society, including participation in education, employment, and social addition. This study evaluates infrastructure accessibility for people with disabilities at Wallaga University and promotes inclusion through a comprehensive assessment of physical, resource, and technological accessibility. The objective of this study was to evaluate accessibility for people with disabilities at Wallaga University and promote inclusion through a comprehensive assessment of physical, resource, and technological accessibility. This study used a mixed methods approach combining qualitative interviews and quantitative measures to assess the accessibility of campus infrastructure. The study has provided detailed information on physical, sensory, and technological accessibility. This review has developed an accessibility plan and implemented improvements to increase participation at Wallaga University and create equity for all disabilities. The findings will be expected to help strengthen university practices, particularly ensuring that all disabilities receive equal participation. By understanding the barriers and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in accessing infrastructure, it becomes possible to implement policies and design solutions that promote equal opportunities and improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This research contributes to the ongoing efforts to create more inclusive and accessible campus environments for all individuals, regardless of their abilities. Addressing inequalities in access and recommending intervention initiatives, this research aims to inform the development of standards and policies, infrastructure accessibility auditing, and resource allocation strategies to create harmonious and conducive learning and working environments for all disabilities.

Ramps are essential for ensuring accessibility for individuals with disabilities, yet our campus exhibits notable deficiencies in this area. Few buildings, such as the College of Engineering and Technology and the Faculty of Business and Economics, provide ramps at their entrances. Although newer constructions like the Registrar’s office and main library include ramps, they only serve the ground floor, limiting access for wheelchair users and others needing assistance to reach upper levels.
While the existing ramps are free from obstructions and designed with user convenience in mind, this stands in stark contrast to the absence of ramps in critical locations such as dormitories, the School of Law, the School of Medicine, the College of Natural and Computational Sciences, sports fields, and ATMs. This lack of accessibility hampers the mobility of persons with disabilities and undermines our campus's commitment to inclusive.
In an educational setting aimed at fostering growth for all students, it is crucial to address these accessibility gaps immediately. Without proper ramp installations in these vital areas, we risk alienating part of our student body, which contradicts our values of equity and inclusion and challenges our collective responsibility to provide an environment that supports learning for everyone.
