This study aims to build the interest of non-numerates learners of Agtas Elementary to enhance the numeracy skills of learners.
The participants of this study are the non-numerates learners of Grade 4 pupils. They were selected after the conduct of RMA during the later year. The crafted different kinds of activity will be use thru Jaramatika Method will be the basis of intervention given to them and a source of Data and information of pupils. Their level of numeracy skills will acculate and elucidate by the researchers to come into a conclusion whether the program is effective to the non-numerate learner. The internal consistency reliability will be ensure, Through the pre-test and the post-test measure the same construct, they will be worded differently.

- Assessing the change in learner performance before and after intervention.
Chapter Summaries
Context and Rationale: This chapter establishes the context for the study by highlighting the results of the Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA) which identified a significant number of non-numerate learners in Grade 4 at Agtas Elementary School. It emphasizes the importance of numeracy skills for academic and life success. The chapter discusses the challenges faced by non-numerate learners, including a lack of interest and confidence in mathematics, and introduces the Jarimatika Method as a potential solution. The chapter cites prior research on the Jarimatika counting method and its effectiveness with struggling learners, highlighting the unique needs of these students and the rationale behind choosing this specific method. The chapter concludes by emphasizing the school's visualization of a differentiated instruction solution using the Jarimatika method.
Proposed Innovation, Intervention, and Strategy: This chapter outlines the proposed intervention strategy, which focuses on increasing the engagement of non-numerate learners through various activities employing the Jarimatika Method. It details the planned activities, including paper and pencil tests and board games, designed to enhance mathematical skills. The data collection methods are explained, including observations, interviews, field notes, and written tests. The chapter also describes the process of data analysis, which will involve qualitative methods such as thematic analysis.
Action Research Question: This chapter clearly lays out the central research questions that will guide the study. It details four key questions focusing on assessing the pre-intervention performance of learners, the effects of the Jarimatika Method on engagement, activities, and performance, post-intervention performance levels, and the significance of the change in performance observed after implementation of the method. These questions collectively aim to fully investigate the effectiveness and impact of the proposed intervention.
