The book "Fractal Time-The Secret of 2012 and the New World Age" by Gregg Braden explores the discoveries of time as the means of communication from the past.
In addition, the book proposes that time defines the map to an individual's future and provides a picture of the world to come. The Mayans identify December 21, 2012 as the end of the world age, particularly to be attributed to the Winter solace. The cycle is predicted to have started in the 5th world age that is approximately 3114 B.C. This defines 1800 years prior the time of the exodus of Moses, which is around 5125 years ago. Parallel to the world-age the traditions of the Indians were passing on through oral traditions thus they may have lost their accuracy along the transmission. Therefore, the oral communications are dated back before the literature.

3. Spiritual and Physical Interconnections

4. Space-Time and Fractal Patterns

5. The Role of the Golden Ratio in Nature

Objectives and Themes

The primary objective of this essay is to explore Gregg Braden's concepts regarding "Fractal Time" and how they provide a framework for understanding human history and predicting future cycles based on past patterns. The research examines the interrelation between time, space, and individual human action within these broader cosmological cycles.

  • The intersection of Mayan calendar cycles and modern perceptions of time.
  • The influence of fractal patterns and the golden ratio in nature and human experience.
  • The concept of "space-time" and its impact on everyday occurrences, including global events.
  • The shift from viewing cycles as destiny to viewing them as opportunities for personal and societal growth.

Excerpt from the Book

The Proposition of Fractal Time and Human History

The four generations that have passed through the end of the world age have been found to have survived the alterations in the climate and the global magnetic field. Therefore, I believe that the rise in the sea levels and the lowered availability of resources for one age presents an opportunity for the next world age. Therefore, it is important to complete the cycle prior to commencing the following cycle. This translates to mean that the earth will experience the greatest distance of its orbit from the harboring galaxy the milky way.

Chapter Summary

1. Introduction to Fractal Time: This chapter introduces Gregg Braden’s theory of time as a source of communication from the past and outlines the significance of the Mayan 2012 cycle.

2. Analysis of the World Age Cycles: This section examines the historical and cultural prophecies regarding the end of world ages and the resilience of human generations through climate and magnetic changes.

3. Spiritual and Physical Interconnections: The chapter explores the link between spiritual and emotional states and their impact on physical reality, suggesting that ancestral awareness of love and peace can mitigate chaos.

4. Space-Time and Fractal Patterns: This part discusses the Einsteinian view of space-time and how ancient cultures perceived time as continuous waves of energy that create recurring patterns.

5. The Role of the Golden Ratio in Nature: The text explains the mathematical significance of the golden ratio (Phi) and its presence in everything from DNA proportions to planetary orbits.

6. Implications for Human Choices and Future Growth: The final chapter emphasizes that cycles represent opportunities rather than inevitable destiny, encouraging humans to make better choices to influence their future.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the central premise of the essay?

The essay explores the theory of "Fractal Time," suggesting that time flows in predictable cycles that communicate information from the past to help shape the future.

What are the core thematic areas discussed?

The main themes include the interpretation of ancient calendar cycles, the mathematical nature of the universe, the role of human consciousness in shaping reality, and the scientific connection between space and time.

What is the primary goal of the author’s research?

The goal is to analyze Braden's claims and explain how understanding these fractal patterns can move humanity away from a path of destruction toward a future defined by intentional choice.

Which scientific concepts are integrated into the discussion?

The essay incorporates concepts from quantum physics, the space-time continuum, and the mathematical properties of the golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence.

What does the main body of the text cover?

The body covers the historical context of Mayan cycles, the physical and spiritual interrelation between humans and the cosmos, and the application of these theories to personal life and global events.

How can one define the key terms of the work?

The key terms involve "Fractal Time" (cyclical time patterns), "Golden Ratio" (a geometric proportion found in nature), and "World Age" (a specific period in the history of human existence).

How does the author view the 2012 prophecy in retrospect?

The author views 2012 as a transitional region in a larger cycle, arguing that the predicted end of the world was actually an opportunity for global and personal evolution.

Why is the concept of the "Golden Ratio" important to the author's argument?

It is used as evidence that there is an underlying, repetitive structure to nature, the human body, and history, which links the microscopic (protons/neutrons) to the macroscopic (galaxies).

What role does human agency play in these cycles?

The author argues that while cycles exist, human choices are the variables that determine how those cycles manifest, allowing people to influence their own future outcomes.
