The Innovation economy demands creativity and art and art integration have been found ti extremely useful in nurturing the creative skill set young people need to succeed.

After two years the California Council for the Arts together with the California Department of Education developed a "Blueprint for Creative Schools" now administered by a new non-profit organization called CREATE CA. This is the story of CREATE CA, and the Blueprints findings, and includes history of one sates effort to reinvent the educational mission.
