Excerpts from the Book

Why Is China Building OBOR?

Investigators have proposed different bases for why Xi's China is seeking after OBOR: Commentators on China regularly stress the association between Beijing's worries about financial development and political strength. As one of only a handful few staying Communist governments on the planet, and having been unequivocally affected by the fall of the USSR, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is worried about guaranteeing political and administration dependability by conveying consistent solid financial development. They are betting that if financial conditions enhance, any dissents are probably not going to discover enough help to speak to an unmistakable test to one-party run the show.
