Excerpt from the book
4.1. Strengths and weaknesses
A big strength of the whole building and the castle is the possibility to offer countless side events in the castle and the surroundings. An event organiser don’t have to find new ideas for convincing their clients to book this venue, if they are looking for a historic venue with possibilities for side events as well. Companies also have the advantage to book a fully event at one place operated by one company. This is not only good for travelling reasons, it is also cost effective and additionally one organiser has the overview over the whole event.
Furthermore the historic atmosphere in the building is unique and the building is well known in big parts of the world. It combines the event possibility with the feeling to be at a special location and experience something unusual at the most visited attraction of Vienna.
A strength is also the location of the venue. It is easy reachable by public transport (subway, tramway and bus) and offers parking facilities for cars and buses nearby. Venues in the inner city of Vienna often have problems with parking facilities, especially for busses. Nevertheless the inner city is accessible in about 15 minutes by car.
A weakness is the older construction of the building and the restrictions due to the UNESCO world heritage listing. Organiser are not allowed to make big changes and have to be very reliable in using the rooms. There are events where different possibilities or equipment are needed, which are not always allowed in such buildings.
