This paper outlines the significance of studying the topic of nurse burnout and workload and its impact of patient and staff safety.
In a first step, the significance of the problem, made clear by a specific focus on turnover rates, medical errors, sick leaves, communication errors and health associated infections is made clear. Secondly, objectives of a potential future teaching in order to prevent the aformentioned problemes are sketched, before, in a last step, a short conclusion and overview of the findings top off the paper.
