Frederick Chiaventone Dr. Slater: In your manuscript you thanked Andreas Wittenberg for his assistance with military hymns. I am very curious, is this Andreas Wittenberg a retired General of the Bundeswehr, a wonderful scholar and gentleman and old friend of mine. Last time I ran into Andreas I was teaching at the US Army's Command & General Staff College. I have since retired and become a writer but have lost touch with Andreas. Tell me if perhaps he is the same individual whom I remember so fondly. If so, and should you still be in touch with him, would you be so kind as to forward him my contact information. Thank you.
