The project aimed at finding out the effectiveness of instructional materials the teaching of science lessons.
Teaching and learning aids are essential in the teaching of science, they give holistic understanding of the subject Content there by making the learners active in class and motivated. The study was conducted in Isoka District of Zambia. The results showed that there is positive achievement in learners taught by exposing them to teaching and learning aids.
Learning and teaching sometimes are challenging. Several approaches are needed to make teaching and learning easier and effective. The terms learning and teaching have been defined by many different scholars and organizations, some of which are: The United Nationals Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization defines learning as any change in behavior, information, knowledge understanding, attitudes, skills or capabilities which can be retained and which cannot be ascribed to physical growth or to the development of inherited behavior patterns.
