Monoclonal antibodies in cancer therapy, future outlook, present situation. The topic is approached via a literature review article to give the reader a good overview. The report is based on online database research via PubMed, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the role of antibodies in immunology and their possibilities and limitations in cancer diagnosis and treatment. The references were chosen with regard to their relevance and actuality regarding the discussed topic. Mesh search was used, and further information regarding research tactics is provided in the methodology. In this article, we did shine a light on different aspects of monoclonal antibody usage and the general principles of this novel therapeutic approach. The general mechanism, as well as pharmaceutical preparations, are discussed. This approach lets this work present solid basics of the theoretical and practical considerations, pathways, as well as benefits and risks of monoclonal therapeutics. More research in the future could provide even more promising results and provide ways to lower mortality from cancer and, eventually, other diseases.
