In conformity, this study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of e-wallet as payment system among Ilonggo E-wallet users during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This study is established on two theories namely, Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Theory of Effectiveness Measurement, wherein five influential factors were recognized i.e. Convenience, Security, Reliability, Responsiveness, and Accessibility. Qualitative Research Design was implemented, and Purposive Sampling Technique was used to choose the 300 participants and gather data by distributing survey questionnaires through online platforms. The data was analyzed using statistical tools namely the mean, frequency, percentage, standard deviation, Mann Whitney U Test, and the Kruskal Wallis H Test.

Background and Rationale of the Study
The world has been gripped by a pandemic over the first half of 2020. It was identified as a new coronavirus (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, or SARS-CoV-2), and later named Coronavirus Disease-19 or COVID-19 (Qiu et al., 2020).
When the news of the COVID-19 Pandemic broke out, no one anticipated its scope and effects will greatly affect the entire city in a very short period. It has paralyzed the lives of every Ilonggo in all aspects most especially their financial viewpoint. According to Broduer et al (2020)., the spread of COVID-19 is expected to result in a considerable slowdown in economic activities.
As a result, for everyone to continue with their everyday financial activities, they needed to shift into contactless transactions. The pandemic crisis had driven the Ilonggos to switch from traditional payment to the use of the e-wallet as payment system wherein they can store in a sum amount of money, send or transfer cash, pay bills, buy load, pay purchases, and other forms of financial transactions under the protocols of the government to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
