This paper analyzed major leadership topics with a focus on situational leadership, leadership types, and Kurt Lewin’s leadership model. This studied how leadership influences the behavior of organizations, including the hospitality industry, regarding CSR, particularly regarding employment rights. Leadership was understood as the capacity to motivate, direct, and coordinate people or groups to accomplish specific objectives. Different forms of leadership were mentioned and compared, including autocratic, democratic, and laissez-faire, according to Kurt Lewin, and the situational leadership theory focuses on the use of different approaches depending on the context. The study also looked at CSR in the hospitality industry, with a focus on employment issues, including wages and remuneration for employees. The study also revealed that leadership success coupled with CSR improves the organizational culture and leads to improved retention of the employees and a positive perception towards the company by the customers. The findings of this research pointed out that organizational leadership and ethical behaviors enhance organizational performance and facilitate social welfare; the need for flexibility in leadership and corporate accountability was also underlined.

Excerpt from the Book

3.1 LEADERSHIP STYLE

A leader's unique methods for managing and directing their team are referred to as their leadership styles. Different leadership philosophies may be required in different circumstances, and skilled leaders frequently modify their strategies in response to the demands of the team, the demands of the work, and the culture of the company (Rodić and Marić, 2021). Common leadership styles include the following;

i. Autocratic: Autocratic leaders assume that their followers will follow their instructions, so they make decisions based on their own opinions of what is best and usually welcome very little feedback from subordinates (Amiri, Rahima, and Ahmed, 2020). Margaret Thatcher and Elon Musk are good examples.

Team members are not consulted when the team leader makes decisions; they are made unilaterally. There are explicit instructions and rigorous enforcement of expectations.

Applicable: This approach could work well when people need to make decisions quickly, like during a crisis or when clear guidance is required.
