There are gender disparities that women face at the workplace. The problem which affects women in different countries, industries and at different stages of the workforce is both historical and in the modern day labor. The main challenges surround gender pay gap, underrepresentation in leadership roles and workplace discrimination. There is a need to address the above challenges and bring in mitigation in terms of education, awareness, drafting and implementation of workplace policies to curb and foster an empowering and inclusive work environment.
This paper underscores the importance of women empowerment by highlighting the challenges that contribute to gender disparities at the workplace, proposes necessary mitigation and contribute to women empowerment.
