Murder is a penal act that erases all life functions of the person, it is the most serious crime committed against this inalienable and essential right.
Traditional Albanian Law that is identified with Canon, and mainly with Canon of Leka, it’s very important to be treated in relation with murder. In this project, I will treat the Aggravated murder topic based on three main canons applied throughout Albanian areas as: Canon of Leke Dukagjini-North, Canon of Skenderbeu-Mid and Canon of Laberia-South of Albanian populated areas.
The vast importance to treat Aggravated murders based on Canon stands that often is rumored that ‘it is reacted based on Canon’ but the truth is different. Often people for their benefits, often financial benefit, often called upon respecting the moral, manhood of their family and relatives, and respecting the rules of the Canon, they have misused the norms-rules of the Canon and adopt it to their needs.
The Canons have harshly condemned the murder. As the institution for the blood revenge against the perpetrator, his family and relatives existed, at the same time was established the institute for forgiveness as a solid ground for Murder prevention and as a solution to stop the revenge that could last forever and for generations.
I believe that this modest seminar will be beneficial to those dealing with different legal, social and other fields of the studies.
