I hereby present the results of using GIMP to produce high quality wallpaper images or digital abstract art. It is evident that it is not only need to be used as a photo editing software but can also be used very creatively. And these art can be sold as wall papers or wall Frames etc.

Objectives and Topics
The primary objective of this work is to demonstrate the creative potential of GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) for producing high-quality digital abstract art, beyond its traditional use as photo editing software. The author explores how open-source tools can be utilized to generate complex artistic images suitable for commercial use, such as digital wallpapers or prints.
- Application of GIMP for creative abstract art production
- Exploration of brush tools and color palette manipulation
- Utilizing light filters and rendering effects for artistic variation
- Commercial viability and distribution of digital art
- The role of open-source software in modern digital art creation
Excerpt from the Book
Materials and Methods
On opening the GIMP software, a new file was opened and the pixel size selected.
There are a vrieties of painting tools and also the size, color and design of the brush.
To make an abstract art, a random choice of colours were picked from the palette. Use of tools like spray, pencil, brush, smudge, burn, fill were also left to imagination to make as many random images in various shades and shapes as possible.
Further tools like light filters to create sparkes, supernova, flames, fractals, enhancers, map, render illusion, tiles, glass, warp, sinus, apply fog, camera flares etc., were used.
Other of the several options to convert the resulting images into van gaugh style, canvas, movie, wind, shadow, etc., were applied to the art.
The idea was to try as many combinations in as many random choices as possible.
There was no end to making creative designs and choices in this software.
When saving them as a file it was better to export the file into JPEG for easy use.
Art exhibitors like (eg. Decora art gallery, India) appreciate abstract art and ask us to send the size of the file in jpg format to be showcased in the websites galleries along with the price tag.
There are so many blogs where digital abstracts can be posted. Or it can be sold as wallpapers or paintings in Yessey.com

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the core focus of this work?
The work focuses on demonstrating that GIMP is not merely a photo-editing tool, but a highly capable platform for creating professional-quality abstract art.
What are the primary themes covered?
The themes include the creative application of open-source software, the use of specialized digital brushes and filters, and the commercial potential of digital art in the contemporary market.
What is the primary objective of the author?
The objective is to prove that complex, surreal, and high-quality abstract images can be produced within a short timeframe using GIMP.
Which scientific or technical methods are described?
The author uses a methodology of combining randomized color palettes with various software tools such as spray, smudge, and advanced filters (e.g., fractals, supernova, and light effects) to build layers of abstract compositions.
What is addressed in the main body of the work?
The main body covers the practical workflow from setting up a new file to applying filters, manipulating brush designs, and exporting the final work for galleries and commercial use.
Which keywords best describe this research?
Key terms include Opensource, GIMP, digital abstract art, image manipulation, and creative design.
How does the author view GIMP compared to other software?
The author argues that GIMP is better than Adobe Photoshop or Inkscape for specific aspects of generating unique, new digital images.
What is the significance of the "word art" mentioned in the results?
The author terms these creations "word art" because each specific painting is intended to visually represent the emotional or literal meaning of the word it portrays.
