Socio economic conditions, floral and faunal diversity of Lulusar Dutipatsar National Park was determined through interviewing 35 native respondents during July 2011.The nomads come to the park area from June to August and graze their livestock on the pastures. About 60-70 herdsmen come every year for grazing their livestock. The main sources of income for native people are livestock rearing, tourism and private jobs. It was found that about 90% of the people living in kacha houses and 80% of the people were illiterate. No basic facilities were available for indigenous people and visitors. During the survey, plants were collected from the surroundings of the park, besides a good number of wildlife species is also present in the park. Due to the increase in population and livestock, the flora and the fauna of the park are decreasing day by day due to heavy grazing. Based on the results, it was concluded that the government should take immediate action on priority basis to conserve the biodiversity of the park.

The research examines the socio-economic conditions of local populations and the biodiversity of the Lulusar Dutipatsar National Park in Pakistan, specifically addressing the impacts of human activities on the local ecosystem and evaluating the potential for conservation and eco-tourism.
- Socio-economic analysis of local communities in the park.
- Inventory and classification of floral diversity, including medicinal plants.
- Investigation of faunal diversity, including mammals, birds, and fish.
- Assessment of habitat degradation due to overgrazing and tourism.
- Recommendations for biodiversity conservation and sustainable eco-tourism management.

Methodology
A survey was conducted in the month of July at Lulusar Dutipatsar national park. The primary data have been collected during the period from 6th July to 12th July in 2011. Primary data was obtained from the local people in order to find out the socio economic conditions,(i-e house hold composition , major source of income ,no of livestock per house etc.) few questionnaires were filled from the local wildlife department staff in the park in order to find the flora and faunal diversity of the park. Questionnaire data was filled from 35 respondents. Some people don’t know about the flora and fauna of the park. Plants were collected from different locations (i-e near lake, different villages around the park and from the surrounding mountains of national Park) and were preserved in the herbarium of Hazara University. Plants were identified with the help of the flora of Pakistan. All collected data have been firstly classified and tabulated systematically and then these have been analysed and interpreted. Secondary data have been collected from Khyber Pukhtunkhwa wildlife department official project documents, university library and internet resource.
