Environmental changes have been marked with climate change and global warming.Scientists have intensified research to deepen understanding with regard to environmental issues.However,their findings would be useless if they are not disseminated to the public.Nevertheless,the field of environmental journalism was developed in the 20th century to bring information to the public.Clearly,science and the field of environmental journalism have contributed to the society,the public and the policy making process in different ways.This essay explores the contribution of science and environmental science in relation to social and human development.
