João’s interest in macroprudential policy emerged whilst pursuing postgraduate studies in financial markets regulation in London, which culminated with the writing of this research paper. A successful transition from academia into business ensued, and he currently works in asset management in an investment monitoring compliance function. A PhD is in João’s plans.
