Dr. Amit B. Patel is currently working as an Asst. Professor at HVHP Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Research, KSV University, Kadi, India. His research interest mainly concerned with the development of new Transition-Metal mediated synthesis of variety of new organic and heterocyclic scaffolds, as well as the development of new catalytic systems to facilitate and accelerate chemical reactivity; and pharmaceutical development of biologically active compounds including antibacterial, antifungal, antimycobacterial and anticancer agents. He focuses on the use of alternative solvents in catalysis in an effort to develop more environmentally benign catalytic processes. Current research efforts include development C–C and intramolecular C–N coupling reactions and their implementations in the total synthesis of bioactive molecules.
