Biographie
Dr. Surafel M. WOLDEGEBRAEL is a dedicated, responsible and proactive research practitioner with interdisciplinary skills and ample experience in hydrological processes, climate, water resources, hydrologic and hydrodynamic modeling, flood forecasting, rainfall-runoff erosivity and soil erosion, and estimation of model input parameters. Besides, he adept multitasking and works under pressure and in a team environment. By training he has Post-Doctor in Evaluating the Impact of Seasonal Climate Variability at Regional Scale and on Water Resources from the University of Naples Federico II in 2025, Italy; Ph.D. in Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Addis Ababa Institute of Technology in 2022, Ethiopia and Dissertation title is “Flood Forecasting and Flood Risk Management System”; and M.Sc. in Water Science and Engineering – Specialization in Hydroinformatics: Modeling and Information Systems for Water Management from UNESCO-IHE in 2011, The Netherlands. Currently employed as a researcher and a practicing hydrologist/water resources modeler at the University of Naples Federico II working on European funded projects.
