Biografía
My name is Ammar Almustafa, I'm a 24 year old Syrian, pursuing a Masters in Business Psychology in Heriot-Watt University.
I've studied psychology for my undergrad (Lebanese University) in addition to two university diplomas, one in Addiction Science (Saint Joseph University) and the other in Associate Project Management (American University of Beirut). I published my first project paper recently in a pre-print (osf.io/n394v), and I've submitted a clinical research paper on post-operative pain in a peer-reviewed journal.
For most of my career, I've been working in the non-profit sector in Beirut, Lebanon. I have four years of working experience with different NGOs. I've worked mostly with INARA, a New York registered NGO helping Syrian refugee children with war injuries in the American University of Beirut Medical Center, where I assumed several positions including a management role for 10 months. Moreover, I have several hundred hours of psychotherapy and crisis intervention experience.
