Biography

My name is Amy. I am originally from London, England, but I completed my Masters degree in English literature at Nelson Mandela University in South Africa. English literature and philosophy have always been my passions. I completed a degree in psychology and later went on to do an Honours in English literature, followed by a Masters in English Literature. My Masters focused on ecocriticism, posthumanism, postmodernism and exploring the nature of literary and philosophical representation in J.M Coetzee's work, specifically 'The Lives of Animals' (1999). I received a Cum Laude for this thesis and went on to become a lecturer of English at Nelson Mandela University, and later Varsity College private university.
