Dr. Sateesha Gouda M

Dr.Sateesh Gouda M is Assistant Professor in Govt. First Grade College, Hunnur, He has completed Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in 2015 from Gulbarga University, India. Post Graduated in Population Studies in 2009 from International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, India. He was completed his first Masters in Social Work (MSW) in 2004 from Shivaji University, Solapur, India.
Dr.Sateesh has got 17 years of work experience in different National and International agencies in different positions in development sector. He worked for 5 years in research, 4 years in Monitoring and Evaluation and worked as Assistant Professor for 2 years before joining Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. His engagement includes different research and implementation projects including Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH), evaluation of HIV/AIDS prevention programme, large scale surveys like National Family Health Survey (NFHS-3), District Level Household Survey (DLHS-3) and Data Triangulation. Working in different positions, he developed good teaching and communication skills, quantitative research skills, ability to deal with large scale database, competency in using sophisticated statistical software like SPSS, STATA, Mortpak, EpiData, Spectrum and Quantum GIS etc.
Dr.Sateesh’s area of expertise is Maternal Neo-natal and Child Health (MNCH), Management of NGOs, Reproductive Health and HIV/ AIDS, Sustainable Development, Population and Development, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Children Education, methods of social work and Research Methodology. He acquired good verbal and written communication skills and good liaise and inter personal skills and ability to shoulder multiple responsibilities including co-ordination of teaching and research activities in multi-cultural environment. He has published national (4) and International (2) research paper, attended and presented several papers in national and International conferences.
