Mofazzal Hossain Khondekar

Dr. Khondekar Mofazzal Hossain is a distinguished academician and researcher currently serving as a Professor and Vice Principal in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. With a career spanning over 25 years, he has dedicated more than two decades to higher education and research, holding key administrative roles, including Head of Department and Dean of Academics.

Dr. Hossain holds a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering and an M.Tech in Physics from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, following his B.Tech and B.Sc. (Physics Hons.) from Jadavpur University. A prolific author, he has published nearly 30 research papers in reputed international journals—including Springer and IEEE—along with multiple book chapters and patents. His research expertise encompasses statistical signal processing, nonlinear dynamics, and chaos detection, with a focus on astrophysical and geophysical signal analysis. Beyond his personal research, he has supervised several scholars to the successful completion of their doctoral degrees. He is a member of professional bodies such as IEEE and a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
