Biography of Ikechukwu Nelson Nicholas Onyeabor
Early Life and Education
Ikechukwu Nelson Nicholas Onyeabor was born on September 4, 1987, at St. Charles Borromeo's Hospital in the historic commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. A native of Nara-Unateze in the Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, Ikechukwu grew up multilingual, developing a native fluency in both English and Igbo.
His academic journey began in Onitsha, where he attended All Saints Primary School. He proceeded to the prestigious Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS), Onitsha, an institution renowned for its rigorous academic standards and discipline. Following his secondary education, he gained admission into the premier University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, laying a solid foundation in the biological sciences.
Ministry and Spiritual Leadership
Driven by a profound spiritual calling, Ikechukwu transitioned into Christian ministry, serving as a Prophetic Pastor. He is the vision bearer and founder of the Glorious Prophetic Assembly (GLOPA), a vibrant, non-denominational ministry dedicated to spiritual awakening, empowerment, and teaching.
As a passionate teacher of the Word and an author, he is deeply committed to human capital development and purposeful leadership. This passion culminated in his role as the convener of the Purposeful Living Devotional (PLD), a weekly devotional platform designed to inspire, guide, and ground individuals in their daily spiritual walk and life goals.
Academic Research and Professional Pursuits
In addition to his ministerial work, Ikechukwu is an accomplished academic, educator, and independent researcher. He has actively contributed to the global body of knowledge with research publications spanning the critical fields of public health, educational pedagogy, and educational measurement and evaluation.
Consistently seeking to bridge the gap between science and community welfare, he is currently furthering his postgraduate studies as a research student pursuing a Master of Public Health Research at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). His multifaceted career reflects a unique blend of spiritual leadership, scientific inquiry, and a dedication to improving societal well-being through education and health research.
