Biographie
Dennis Shen is a macroeconomist with extensive experience in the assessment of policy solutions. He has advocated the integration of environmental considerations in capital markets. His research and commentary have been regularly featured by leading global organisations and mediums, such as the United Nations, OMFIF, Bloomberg, Reuters, the FAZ and CNBC.
A graduate of the London School of Economics (LSE), Dennis believes in his university slogan of “rerum cognoscere causa”—to know the causes of things—and seeks in professional life to better understand how the world is connected and address problems through refining such an understanding.
He co-authored the “DSSI+” debt-restructuring framework, and is an advocate of strengthened global debt relief supporting low- and middle-income economies. Alongside the economist Moritz Krämer, Dennis presented a loss-given-default sovereign rating framework for incentivising more comprehensive sovereign debt restructuring.
While residing in New York, he co-founded the Junior Ocean Council of Oceana—the world's largest organisation dedicated solely to ocean preservation.
Dennis completed his Master of Public Administration in International Development at the LSE and Bachelor of Science in Financial Engineering (Cornell University).
