This study determined the relationship between the home environment and academic performance of the Grade 6 pupils of Tablang Elementary School. A total of forty pupils were the respondents of this study. This study used descriptive correlational method to determine the frequency and mean to process the data.
Based on the results, the majority of learners have access to home amenities at their disposal. Home amenities play a significant role in enhancing academic success. The majority of learners have stronger family dynamics inside their homes. The nature of their families supports their academic achievement, most of them establish a good relationship with their families at home. Family involvement fosters academic achievement, and parents' educational backgrounds primarily aid learners in achieving success in their studies. The family's financial aspect may also affect the learners' academic success. However, the least variable was about the proper support in school. The learners' academic achievement was significantly influenced by their home environment. The performance of the learners in the classroom improves when homes are conducive for learning. The relationship between the two factors was examined in this study, and the results indicate that there is no significant relationship between learners' home environments and academic achievement.

Research Objectives and Themes
This study aims to examine the relationship between the home environment and the academic performance of Grade 6 pupils at Tablang Elementary School, identifying specific factors such as home facilities, family dynamics, parental attitudes, and financial status to propose an actionable support plan.
- Impact of physical home environment and facilities on academic success.
- Influence of socio-economic factors and parental involvement on learner performance.
- Correlation between family dynamics/interactions and educational achievement.
- Development of strategic action plans to bolster student performance through parental engagement.
Excerpt from the Book
Introduction
Education is the imparting of knowledge, skills, and values. Academic self-concept relates to how well an individual appreciates learning. It can vary across academic disciplines and can be affected by evaluated experiences. Students with good academic records are those students who feel they can do well in their schoolwork. The foundation of a child’s life starts at home, which has an impact on individuals’ growth and development. Successful learners are goal-oriented, self-regulatory, and proactive. They also accept personal responsibility for their own learning.
Learning is the key to an achievable and desirable academic performance. However, not everyone excels academically. There are several factors why poor academic performance happens to individuals. These factors include home, peers, the school environment, and the comprehension skills of students. According to the study of Khan, et al. (2019), “It was universally agreed that the most influential factor among all the criteria discussed is the home environment. It is the first institution where a child begins to learn, and the mother is the baby's first instructor, while the other members of the family play the role of peers.”
Home environment is not an abstract concept. According to Younas and Noor (2020) the environment is well defined as an aggregate for internal and external situations affecting a person's existence, development, and welfare. It is the result of collaborative interaction with his /her environment. Moreover, Maigida and Ogwo (2013) state that home can also speed up or hinder academic attainment.
Summary of Chapters
Chapter I THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND: This chapter establishes the foundation of the study, defining key terms and presenting the rationale for investigating how home environment influences academic outcomes.
CHAPTER II Methodology: This section describes the descriptive-correlational research design, sampling methods used for the 40 Grade 6 respondents, and the research-made instruments employed for data collection.
CHAPTER III Results and Discussion: This chapter presents and interprets the data regarding various home environment factors and evaluates whether a significant statistical relationship exists between these variables and academic grades.
Chapter IV SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: This final chapter synthesizes the results, determines that the null hypothesis regarding the influence of home environment holds in most areas, and provides recommendations for parents and educators.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the primary focus of this research study?
The study investigates the relationship between various home environment factors and the academic performance of Grade 6 pupils at Tablang Elementary School.
What are the central themes explored in the home environment?
The research examines six variables: home facilities, mutual interaction of family members, nature of family, educational status of parents, attitude of parents towards children, and the financial position of the family.
What is the main objective of the researchers?
The primary goal is to determine if a significant correlation exists between home environmental factors and student achievement, and to formulate a proposed action plan to assist parents in supporting their children's education.
Which scientific methodology was applied?
The researchers utilized a descriptive-correlational research design, employing frequency distributions, weighted means, and Pearson's Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) for data analysis.
What is the focus of the results and discussion section?
This section analyzes the collected questionnaire data to verify how elements like home facilities and parental attitudes impact student academic performance levels.
Which keywords define this study?
The study is characterized by terms such as home environment, academic performance, family dynamics, parental involvement, and educational support strategies.
Did the study prove that financial position affects academic success?
Interestingly, the results showed a significant relationship between financial position and academic performance, suggesting that lower financial stability sometimes correlates with higher grades, indicating that financial challenges do not necessarily hinder, but may motivate, academic success.
How did the learners perform in their classrooms generally?
The findings revealed that the Grade 6 respondents performed exceptionally well, with the average academic marking classified as "Outstanding," indicating that students remained engaged in their studies despite varying home conditions.
