This paper develops a consultancy report for a start-up in the music industry. After a short introduction the SWOT analysis is applied and the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for this business are discussed. Furthermore, the process design is examined. Chapter 3 concerns itself with the information system. Chapter 4 consists of the report, including the planning of the project, the structure and organization of the company, as well as team resources and marketing strategies.
This paper will focus on a start-up called CC Music (CCM) that wants to gain a foothold in England’s north-western music industry as an agent who mediates, promotes, and manages bands. The two founders Chris and Clive want to be active after their retirement and have involved two more family members (daughter and niece) in the business. A democratic organizational structure is to be created that gives all involved parties the same rights. Furthermore, the two founders are part of an 8-member Soul Band (SB), which is also represented by the label CCM and is on the road in England with about 12 gigs per year with the goal to expand.
The Interactions with the stakeholders of the music scene are very complex. The stakeholders are: the Band, Agent, Organizer and Location/Infrastructure. This paper will resolve this complexity by discussing individual aspects separately in order to gain a better understanding. Additionally, a SWOT analysis will be developed. A visualization of the landscape process is shown in chapters 2.2 and 4.6 followed by a report in chapter 4. Further procedures are illustrated in the Master Plan under Appendix B, which will be presented in a Kick of Meeting by the consultant hired by CCM.

Excerpt from the Book
4.2 Company Structure and Organization
The wish of CCM to implement a democratic leadership, “involving the team in decision making” (Nandi & Kumar 2016, p.743), in the company has been taken up and will be examined in more detail (Hofstede et al 2010; Lindell & Arvonen 1996; Khan et al 2015). The definition of a CEO (Leaders/Managers) is of great importance (Khan et al 2015, p89), this is independent of the leadership structure used (Hofstede et al 2010, p.74). Especially in a team of four where a vote rate of 2 vs. 2 does not show a solution and the model that everyone has an equal vote does not work, so the “CEO has the final decision that is accepted” (Hofstede et al 2010, p.74). A democratic vote for the position of CEO can lead to greater acceptance of the CEO in a team, giving him the power to outvote.
Nerveless as the two founders have already gained a lot of experience through their many years of work in the SB, it highly recommended that one of the founders take that position of the CEO (Khan et al 2015, pp.88-89). With such a leadership style, the CEO is permanently challenged to inform and involve all the people in the team (Khan et al 2015, p.89). This in turn means a great commitment and effort for the CEO (Khan et al 2015, p.89). This effort can be bundled by introducing a periodical meeting. The group functions as a round table (Nandi & Kumar 2016, p.729), in which the topics and the subsequent decisions can be dealt with efficiently by means of a defined procedure (Hofstede et al 2010, p.74). According to studies by Hofstede et al (2010) and Lindell and Arvonen (1996), such an approach of leadership is considered appropriate and can be recommended taking into account the prescribed measures and structures.
