M.A Jack Mensah

Jack D. Mensah is an independent researcher with a diverse academic background, holding degrees from Zeppelin University (GER), the University of Cape Town, and Erasmus University Rotterdam. His work spans multiple facets of the creative industries—from his role as a concert producer at renowned venues across Germany, the Netherlands, Ghana and South Africa to his engagements with leading cultural institutions including Gropius Bau, Schaubühne Berlin, HAU Berlin, Burgtheater Vienna, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Festsaal Kreuzberg, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, BIRD, deDoelen and Theater Rotterdam. In addition to his institutional collaborations, Mensah is known under his creative alias Mo.Gyah, where he performs as DJ, music producer, and curator, connecting diaspora and the Global South through diverse artistic interventions. His work integrates qualitative research, sound, and visual storytelling to explore cultural heritage, practice, and artistic expression.
