Biography
Diplom-Volkswirt Dr. rer. pol. Christoph Sprich is an economist. At the Walter Eucken Institute at the University of Freiburg, he dealt with economic policy, epistemology, regulatory policy and with the ideas of the economist Friedrich August von Hayek. In Freiburg, he gave courses in the field of economic policy for the IES. Since 2006, he worked for the Federation of German Industries (BDI), one of the most influential lobby organizations in Germany. There, he initially worked in the department for innovation and technology policy, and from 2008 he was responsible for globalization issues in the department for external economic policy. Since mid-2022, he works for the Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsunion (MIT), the business wing of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU).
