Frequently asked questions about our quality standards
What kind of manuscripts can I submit?
Academic texts, regardless of age and subject area, such as:
- Assignments, seminar papers, term papers
- Bachelor’s theses, Master’s theses and diploma theses
- Dissertations / doctoral theses
- Essays and analyses
- Lesson plans and exercise material for school
- Specialist books, scientific papers
- Lecture notes by lecturers and professors
What we don’t publish:
- Short texts which aren’t of scientific nature
- Texts containing disputed, inflammatory or discriminating content
- Analyses of legal cases
- Powerpoint presentations
- Poems / Poetry
- Fiction (novels), children’s books
Formal requirements to consider:
Please consider the following guidelines with regard to content:
- Your text must be marked with a “passing” grade
- The text should be spell-checked and grammatically correct
- All sources and images must be cited correctly
- If your text contains interviews, your interviewees must agree to a publication.
- If your work contains a company’s internal matters, the company must agree with a publication
- Your work mustn’t contain sensitive information, especially in regard to lesson plans or internship reports. You can make names anonymous or use pseudonyms in your text.
Please edit and prepare your texts for a publication.
- We can only publish complete texts. Please send in your text including a cover, table of contents, main text (incl. images) and appendices. We publish your text the way you submit it.
- The margins should be the same on the left and the right side (at least 1.5 cm). Please center the page numbers.
- Note: Your text will be published in an A5 format and will be adjusted accordingly.
What file formats can I upload?
Upload your original file as Microsoft Word / LibreOffice / RTF format. We also accept PDF files, but they may not be convertible for all distribution channels (e.g. Kindle, iBookstore).
