History
GRIN was founded in 1998 and can now build on more than 20 years of publishing experience. The original platform Hausarbeiten.de has been dedicated to the publication and dissemination of student knowledge from the very beginning. Over the years, GRIN’s offer has been continuously expanded.
GRIN offers a free and simple publication service from students for students. We also support doctoral students, lecturers and experts throughout the publication process. Since 2006, all publications have been published as a printed book as well as en e-book edition. Our customers are able to download texts immediately and order the printed book for their libraries.
GRIN is now a leading provider of academic texts. To ensure that this remains the case, we’re constantly expanding and improving our offer. We hope you enjoy publishing and researching on our platform!

1998 - Founding of Hausarbeiten.de
GRIN starts as a community for students. First, it provides a platform for exchange between students.

2006 - GRIN publications are first published as printed books.
Since 2006, GRIN has been publishing uploaded texts as both e-books and printed books. Printing is done in a print-on-demand process. This means that a book isn't produced until its purchase.

2008 - 10 years of GRIN
GRIN celebrates 10 years of publishing experience and a successful team.

2013 - GRIN moves
The GRIN team, together with the marketing agency bilandia and the online publisher TUBUK, moves into a new office spance on Nymphenburger Straße in Munich.

2016 - GRIN turns 18
GRIN celebrates its 18th anniversary! A competition is held to celebrate the occasion. The chosen winner is the most creative submission.

2018 - 20 years of GRIN and 200,000 publications
GRIN celebrates the company's anniversary and at the same time the publication of the 200,000th text. Since its inception, GRIN has paid out more than 7.5 million for author royalites.

2020 - GRIN moves again
In December 2020 GRIN, moves to a new office near the Donnersbergerbrücke in Munich.
