Step 2: We review your contract

Our first duty: We check whether you have chosen a publication option and agreed to the contract.
We will not publish without your consent to the contract!
You’d like to view the contract? In your GRIN account under the respective text you’ll find the contract. Click the title of the text in the overview, then click “Author’s Agreement” in the navigation bar on the left.

Step 3: Technical check of your file

We check the uploaded document for readability and compatibility first. If technical problems occur (e.g. a defective file), we will contact you.

Step 4: Review the content of your thesis

Your text will now be checked by our editing team. In doing so, we pay particular attention to the fact that the work is complete and meets scientific standards . We optimize the abstract and the title. In addition, when reviewing the text, we add all the necessary information to the master data. If we have any questions, we will contact you directly by e-mail.

Step 5: We create eBook and cover

Finally, if necessary, we revise the layout to optimize your text for publication. Then we create the cover and e-book file of your book.

Optional: Change the details about your paper

Finde the overview of your texts here directly after uploading. As long as your work is not yet published, you can still change this information. You know your text best! Please fill out the forms completely. Every piece of information helps interested readers to find your text better.

Step 6: We publish your book

As soon as the exam is completed, your work will be published in the GRIN online catalog and on many partner platforms (e.g. Amazon, Thalia, and many more). It is now available worldwide and can be found via search engines such as Google. The processing time is usually two weeks. We will notify you separately about the book publication.

Step 7: Now you can order your own copies!

Whether for a job interview, as a gift for grandma or an eye-catcher on your bookshelf: A print copy of your work makes an impression! This is how you order your book at the discounted author’s rate. You can also order your publication as a paperback edition at your local bookstore .

Yes! Our premium services not only offer you an upgrade of your publication with a professional cover or layout. Our team also takes care of additional marketing measures such as press releases or social media campaigns.

  • In your GRIN author account under the tab “Sales and Fees” you cankeep an eye on thesales of your texts.
  • You will receive your invoice quarterly, just like your royalties.
  • If you have any questions or problems, our support team is here to help.
  • Yes – you can edit certain fields, such as keywords, in the metadata of your text even after publication.
  • For updates or other changes, you can reach our editorial team by email.

Layout check

We check your text for readability and printability (Are the margins sufficient for printing? Is the font size easy to read in print? Is the line spacing right? Is the resolution of the illustrations sufficient for good print quality?), embed the fonts if necessary and take care of automatic page numbers and a table of contents.

With each publication, you will receive an ISBN number for your e-book and print book.

With each publication, you will receive an ISBN number for your e-book and print book. We deliver your book to our worldwide distribution network: over 300 online shops.

Cover Service

Do you already have your own photo or motif or at least a very concrete idea of how you imagine your book cover? Perfect! We will take care of the creation and send you two to four drafts, from which you can choose one.

You don’t have a cover idea yet or would like us to include your author photo on the back of the book? No problem. For an extra charge of €50, our graphic designer will search for motifs and design your individual book cover including an author’s photo on the book cover – creatively, professionally and matching your story.
